Raised in Los Angeles, California, my fascination with the ocean led me to Bahia de los Angeles in 1998. Initially drawn by helping to teach a college marine biology field studies program, I found myself captivated by the unique beauty of the location. Over the next 20 years, I discovered my calling and the motivation to create Silver Shark Adventures. I am deeply in love with Bahia de los Angeles – its people, landscapes, and the vibrant energy of the sea. My dream is for others to share in this inspiration, witnessing and respecting the unique biodiversity of this marine paradise.

Pancho Verdugo

Pancho Verdugo, a seasoned fisherman from Bahia de los Angeles, Baja California, boasts an extraordinary connection with the Sea of Cortez.

In his 30-year career, Pancho's uncanny intuition for locating marine mammals has earned him the nickname "Neptuno" amongst our guests. His infectious positivity and humor make it easy to fall in love with his genuine personality. Pancho's passion for the environment is evident, reflected in his active involvement with his wife Imelda, monitoring sea turtle populations in Bahia de los Angeles. As a true inspiration, Pancho's daily dose of energy fuels our sea adventures.

Tara Weberg

Guide

Tara was born and raised in southern California. Since childhood, she has had a love for the ocean, with an exceptional passion and enthusiasm for marine mammals. She has spent an exceptional amount of time at sea with us. Whatever free time she has available, is further exploring the Sea of Cortez and traveling the world in search of special encounters with wildlife, particularly large cetaceans, such as whales and dolphin species. Her numerous experiences make her a valuable addition to our team.

Gio was born and raised in Baja California, Mexico. Growing up along the coast, Gio always had a connection with the ocean, the desert landscapes and the people of Baja. His positive energy and charismatic attitude are the perfect combination for working alongside the many guests who travel from different walks of life to be with us on our adventures. Gio is a local resident of Bahia de los Angeles, living with his wife Imelda and two sons, Vadhir and Dustyn.
